“JAPAN CULTURE STUDY” CONTEST

In recent years, Vietnam – Japan relations has been gigantically developing in many fields of politics, ecomnomy and culture. There are many official visits such as: Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung’s visit to Japan in July 2006, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s visit to Vietnam in November 2006, Prime Minister Nguyen Minh Triet’s visit to Japan on the occasion of Independence Day of Japan in July 2007 – has been building relations between two countries to strategic partners.     

On the occasion of commemorating 35 years of diplomatic relation establishment between Vietnam and Japan (21/9/1973 – 21/9/2008), contributing to develop cuture exchanges between two countries to promote co-operation of Polictics, Economics, Culture and Society; With the support and patronization of Ministry of Cuture, Sport and Tourism, Japan Embassy, Vietnam - Japan Culture Exchange Association and Human Resource Co-operation Centre of Vietnam – Japan, P&T Group cooperates to organize “Japan Culture Study” Contest.

The contest is not only the occassion for Vietnamese to express the understanding of Japan Cuture, but also the chance of Vietnam - Japan Economics, Culture, Society Exchanges in order to promote peace & friendly relations between two countries, develop and attract ODA investment from Japan – one of the top companies of foreign investment in Vietnam

The contest has started officially from 1^st May to 21^st Setember 2008. With the purpose of mobilizing the masses, “Japan Culture Study” Contest Conference was held on 8^th April 2008 in Japan Embassy. 

From May to July, the contest will be held under the form of answering questions monthly. Every month, ten questions will be inserted through mass communications and website www.ptgroup.vn. There are programs of Japan culture introduction, exchange and award will be held in the end of the month and the writing contest will be taken place in August with the subject of Japan. The participants can send the answer to organization board under different forms: e-mail, sms to switchboard 8329, post office … before 20^th every month. The closing and award ceremony is expected to be organized in Opera-House and directly broadcasted via Vietnam Television Station on 21^st September 2008.   

 Awards of monthly contest:

• 1^st  prize (1): 1 laptop
• 2^nd prize (1): 1 camera
• 3^rd  prize (1): 1 ipod

Awards of writing contest:

• Special prize for 2 best articles is 2 trips to Japan in a whole week.

Organization board desires to receive Vietnamese citizens’ warm response to participate the “Japan Culture Study” contest and news angencies’s support, in order to  the contest’s success and contribute to build strong ties between Vietnam – Japan.
